For me experimental films are the most complicated films to create. The reason behind is that I am used to see logic in filmmaking and in it's process.

For me personally experimental film is a piece of Art that allows to make whatever you want with explanation that can fit the idea. In the beginning I had a trouble with getting my idea sorted, because I am not used to work in this area. But DFSA course is all about challenging ourselves so I got to work.

At first I wanted to do just random clips with an idea of comparing people's emotions to nature elements. Which wasn't that good of an idea, as I couldn't see the high quality outcome and even a possible script.

Suddenly I remembered a style of films that are commonly used in horror films. The style is called "Cursed video". The most common one is the video from The Ring.

And I quickly came up with an idea of combining this style with the topic of dreaming and having nightmares. Obviously adding some pace to the flow of the video and a disturbing end with a bloody hand in the sink. (That was food colouring, no one was injured).

I also separated two realities by deleting sounds on the clips of girl's eyes and adding a creepy music on the background with some diegetic sound. All done.
