Maps and Networks. Step 3: Model and notes for the next step.
If you see a sentence like this, that's my side note. I need those, while I type.
It's been a very long time since my last post. Our studio film shooting and producing took over me and I literally didn't have enough time to type anything, but a lot of things that are related to the short film. Plus I had couple of mental breakdowns, but it's ok.
Anyway, I came back to my precious box. Fortunately, I looked at it with a new and fresh vision and now I will quickly show what I will change in the version for the assessment day and how I will make it work. I seriously am struggling with uploading pictures from my phone to my laptop. FINALLY!
If you remember, last time I started making up origamis and tried to finish painting the box, but the weather was always against me. So I finally did it! But, that small brown spray paint wasn't enough for me to cover all the box. So I had to ask one of my housemates for help, as she had some more of spray paint. LUCKILY, copper colour worked too well and now I think I will use it next time.
I like this glittery style, actually does look like a statue. Actually while typing this I am also thinking about spray painting it all together with the origami, so that it does look like a statue, as people create statue as reminders of something.
The next step is the map:

So after I have done this, I kinda looked at the sides and realised that after cutting the lid from the box, there are some details that do not look nice.
So some notes after creating this model:
1) I will take a smaller sized box. 8 boxes like this will take up the entire wall and I am not ready for this, seriously.
2) All the sides that I am cutting will be covered with masking tape before painting next time.
3) Instead of taking a small can of a brown spray paint I will get the actual decorative spray paint, probably copper for 6 boxes and black/green for the other two.
4) For the lighting I will use the normal led lights that are usually used in the decoration. At the moment I have only purple ones, but I will get a long white ones, so that it'll be enough for all the boxes.
Origami themselves need to be finalised, but I am on my way there. I need to give this project at least 1 hr a day to get it done by the deadline.
